Perhaps. But I hope not.
Ever since I started teaching, I've wanted to go back to school for my masters. My first few years of teaching were very time-consuming and stressful, and I didn't think I could take on college classes, too. But after 4 years of teaching, I decided that I'm finally ready to give it a shot. I applied to the graduate program at Holy Family University, and I'm hoping to start classes in January. The degree program I'm interested in is called "Master of Education with Pennsylvania Reading Specialist certification." That means I'll be able to get certified as a Reading Specialist. I've always had an interest in reading and writing, and I love teaching it to first graders. As much as I enjoy teaching in a classroom, I plan to eventually take a job as a Reading Specialist and work teaching reading to smaller groups of children.
Later this week, I'm going to the school for an open house for the graduate program. I'll let you know how it goes!
