The perks of being a Catholic school teacher

Yes, there are perks.

Today is All Saint's Day, a holy day of obligation, which means all Catholic schools have the day off. Whoo-hoo! And it just happens to be the day after Halloween. Great for kids, since they were up late trick-or-treating the night before. And great for teachers, since the kids are all sugared up and crazy the day after Halloween.

It's weird being home when everyone else is at work. I feel like I should be doing something fun and fabulous. Sadly, I have some errands to run, and then I have to do my lesson plans (which I could have done yesterday, but I didn't feel like it), and fill out progress reports for my students. But at least I got to sleep late :)
