sneak preview...

My classroom is (for all intents and purposes) done. Finished. Ready for kiddies. Me, on the other hand... well, I guess I'm ready for the kids. I've only got 16 registered. We're expecting one more, but the family's in Central America and probably won't be back until sometime next week. (I taught the older boy a few years ago - mom likes to work on her own schedule.)

I have 20 desks set up in four tables, but if I only have 17 kids, I'm just going to make 3 tables. That will give me more classroom space than I've ever had. I could do cartwheels around my room if I wanted to.

Here's my reading corner. There are several pillows missing in this picture. I found some super cute red fabric with teddy bears on it in the clearance bin, so I'm making pillow cases for the pillows that didn't have them before. And my new canvas bug bean bag is from Target (on sale!).

So that's that. And now I'm off until Tuesday, which is our opening faculty meeting. Then Wednesday is... The First Day of School. Ready or not.
